DMP’s work has taken him around the world from Berlin to Budapest to Bulgaria and beyond. He cut his teeth in the world of action when he scribbled his freshman script, “Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man,” on a legal pad. It sold. It got cast. Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson. And it got made! The die was set. DMP left his legal pad behind and learned to type when Alan Ladd, Jr. contracted him to a four-picture deal at MGM. The deal yielded more rough-and-tumble fare, including “Public Enemies” and the adaptation of the award-winning depression era novel by Davis Grubb, “Night Of The Hunter.”

After his tenure at MGM, DMP went on to adapt bestselling author John Gilstrap’s “Nathan’s Run” at Warner Bros. for Joel Silver. He’s since written for Barry Josephson, Jordan Kerner, Stephen J. Cannell, Aaron Spelling, Bob Greenblatt, David Janollari and many more. On the small screen, DMP has penned TV pilots for ABC, CBS, FOX and UPN. “Half Past Dead” marked his directorial feature debut for Clint Culpepper at Screen Gems and spawned a sequel. His sophomore directorial effort, “The Garden,” was very well received and found a voice at the Brussels International Film Festival. From there, DMP took a comedy detour with “Who’s Your Caddy?” for Dimension and the Weinstein Brothers as well as “Lake Placid: The Final Chapter.” Now, he’s happy to be back to his old self with the World War II shoot ‘em up for Sony Pictures entitled “Company Of Heroes.  Next up, “Jarhead 2: Field Of Fire” for Universal starring Stephen Lang (Slang), Cole Hauser and Esai Morales.  Then it’s off to Santorini, Greece and the Black Sea of Bulgaria to film “Sniper: Legacy” with Tom Berenger, Dennis Haysbert and Chad Michael Collins for Sony!  Stay tuned!
